Server Rules
Basic Community & Server Rules
Age Restriction
To maintain a safe and mature gaming environment, Fusion Roleplay servers are limited to players aged 18 and over. Exceptions may be granted at the staff team's discretion. If this affects you, please open a support ticket to discuss your eligibility.
Interacting with Staff In Character & Out Of Character
Direct messaging staff for server-related questions is not allowed. Please use the official ticket system to ensure your inquiry reaches the most qualified team member. If you need immediate assistance in-game, use the /report
command to contact a staff member. This helps us provide efficient and effective support for the community.
Do not approach staff in-game while they are in their roleplay character to ask about government topics or items. Staff members are here to roleplay just like you. If they do not have a tag above their head, they are in-character and should not be approached about out-of-character (OOC) matters.
A tag above their head indicates they are out of character (OOC) and available to assist with server-related questions or issues.
Frequent Rule Breaking and Toxic Behavior
Repeated rule-breaking or toxic behavior will result in an immediate ban. Staff have full discretion to enforce penalties to uphold the community's integrity. Always treat others with respect to maintain a positive and welcoming environment.
Harassment
Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited in Fusion Roleplay. This includes any variation of the "N" or "R" words, as well as racism, sexism, trolling, drama, must-win attitudes, or hate speech. Violations will result in disciplinary action at the staff team’s discretion, in line with our community rules.
Be Considerate
Be considerate and prioritize creating enjoyable experiences for everyone. Strive to craft compelling scenarios that enrich the roleplay for all participants. Your interactions should aim to contribute positively to the story, ensuring both victory and loss are handled in a way that fosters a fun, engaging, and safe environment for the entire community.
Use of Outside Discord Servers, Private Voice Chats, and Communications
The use of external Discord servers, private voice chats, or any outside communication is strictly prohibited. All interactions should occur exclusively through in-game channels (phone, radio, payphone, or server chat). To preserve the immersive experience for yourself and others, we kindly request that you mute or deafen any external communications while engaging in the server.
Loopholes and Abuse of Game Mechanics
Any attempts to exploit loopholes or circumvent the rules will not be tolerated. The enforcement of appropriate consequences for such actions will be at the discretion of the staff, following careful deliberation.
Ban Evasion
If you feel that your ban was unjustified, please submit an appeal through Discord. Do not attempt to evade your ban by account hopping; any such behavior is strictly prohibited.
Character Rules
2.1 AFK (Away from Keyboard)
Avoid going AFK during active roleplay scenes. If you need to step away:
Exit the city completely.
Move to a secure, out-of-sight location where your character cannot be easily found.
If killed or robbed while AFK, possessions will not be refunded.
Report inappropriate AFK behavior to admins.
2.2 Out of Character (OOC) Behavior
Breaking character is prohibited unless directed by staff ("GOVERNMENT").
Do not address rule-breaking behavior in OOC chat or Discord; report it to admins.
OOC chat is only for technical support or game-related help.
Avoid in-character disputes or gloating in Discord channels or in-game OOC chat.
2.3 Character Guidelines
Follow the established guidelines for your character (e.g., fears, preferences).
Avoid "flatbacked" communication while incapacitated.
Dead characters cannot communicate or call out locations.
2.4 Combat Logging
Exiting the game to avoid roleplay or in-character consequences is strictly prohibited. This behavior disrupts immersion and fairness for all players. Examples include:
Logging out during combat, police chases, or arrests to avoid consequences.
Disconnecting to evade death, jail time, or the loss of items.
Leaving the server immediately after committing a crime, such as robberies, assaults, or fleeing a scene, to prevent law enforcement or other players from continuing the roleplay scenario.
Expectations:
If you experience a disconnect or crash, report it immediately in the server's Discord and make an effort to return to the scene as soon as possible. Provide context to staff if necessary.
Consequences: Violations of this rule may result in administrative action, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server.
2.5 New Life Rule (NLR)
Characters lose memory of events surrounding their death.
Cannot return to the death location for 30 minutes.
Memory can only be restored by others present at the death scene.
2.6 Griefing and Revenge Reporting
Griefing:
Targeting players excessively or disrupting their experience is prohibited.
Revenge Reporting:
Reporting players out of spite or collecting clips for personal conflicts is not allowed.
2.7 Initiation of Violence
All violence must be rooted in logical roleplay with a clear motive.
Use in-game tools to escalate conflicts organically.
Ensure actions align with character motivations and storyline.
2.8 Cop Baiting
Provoking law enforcement without a valid in-character reason is prohibited. This includes any actions taken solely to elicit a response from police or to disrupt roleplay scenarios without justification. Examples of cop baiting include but are not limited to:
Repeated Speeding: Continuously driving at excessive speeds past police officers with the intent of initiating a pursuit without any in-character motive.
Intentional Disturbances: Creating disturbances, such as honking excessively near police stations, blocking traffic, or disrupting police scenes without an in-character justification.
Interfering with Police Scenes: Approaching or disrupting active law enforcement situations, such as crime scenes, arrests, or traffic stops, without a legitimate in-character purpose.
Taunting Officers: Verbally provoking or insulting police officers in a manner designed to escalate a situation without roleplay depth or character development.
Players are encouraged to create meaningful and immersive roleplay interactions with law enforcement, ensuring their actions align with their character's background and motives. Violating this rule may result in administrative action, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server.
2.9 Player Robberies
You must be involved in the scene to rob an incapacitated player.
Robberies must start with verbal or weapon-based initiation.
Forced transactions (e.g., cash app transfers) are not allowed.
2.10 Perma Death
Perma-death is at the player’s discretion and cannot be forced.
It should enhance roleplay, not serve as control.
2.11 Pocket Wiping
Theft must align with roleplay scenarios.
Avoid excessive theft and consider what makes sense for your character.
2.12 Heists
Participant limits for heists:
24/7 Robberies: Max 4 players.
Bank Truck/House Robberies: Max 4 players.
Fleeca Bank Robberies: Max 5 players.
Paleto Bank Robberies: Max 6 players.
Pacific Standard Bank Robberies: Max 6 players.
Hostage rules:
No fake hostages (NPCs).
Killing compliant hostages is prohibited.
Please refer to: criminal guidelines
2.13 Protection of EMS
EMS staff are off-limits for hostile actions while on duty. To ensure fair and uninterrupted medical roleplay, the following actions are prohibited
Taking EMS staff hostage during their duty, regardless of the situation.
Robbing EMS staff of any personal belongings, medical supplies, or equipment while they are on duty.
Stealing EMS vehicles under any circumstances.
Why this rule exists: EMS staff provide essential services that keep roleplay scenarios running smoothly, ensuring medical emergencies are addressed promptly. Hostile actions against EMS disrupt these critical functions and diminish the quality of roleplay for all players.
Fail RP
Fail RP refers to any action or situation in the game that is extremely unrealistic and used to gain an unfair advantage, undermining the immersive roleplay experience.
Examples of Fail RP
Talking While Dead
Talking while dead is generally not allowed unless you are engaging with EMS, police, or other players in a realistic roleplay manner.
Unrealistic Actions
Driving a car through tight spaces or performing stunts that defy physics.
Firing a weapon through solid objects (e.g., doors, walls) without proper line of sight.
Failing to roleplay injuries, such as walking away unscathed from serious crashes or gunshot wounds.
Leaving a medical scenario without acknowledging the need for recovery.
Hint Always roleplay injuries realistically! For example, after a serious car crash, your character should limp, seek medical attention, or behave as though in pain. Simply walking away without acknowledgment is Fail RP.
Inappropriate Use of Game Mechanics
Accessing your inventory or transferring items while restrained or dead.
Using a Radio While Handcuffed: Communicating over the radio while restrained or handcuffed is considered unrealistic and is prohibited.
Using game mechanics like seat-swapping to eject players unrealistically.
Important Using a radio while handcuffed undermines realism. If caught, this action could result in disciplinary action or penalties!
Unrealistic Respawning
Respawning ("E" key) in front of law enforcement or EMS without explicit permission from a city official.
Exploiting for Advantage
Sliding or baiting gunfights repetitively.
Targeting the same players for robbery without logical roleplay.
Reminder Fail RP not only breaks immersion but disrupts the experience for everyone else involved. Always consider how your actions align with your character and the roleplay environment.
Fail RP disrupts immersion and is strictly prohibited.
Metagaming
Metagaming involves using information obtained outside of roleplay to influence in-game actions. This undermines fair play and immersion.
Examples of Metagaming
Stream Sniping
Watching another player's stream and using that information in-game is prohibited.
Discord Communication
Using Discord to coordinate in-character matters is not allowed.
In-Character Information
All in-game knowledge must be obtained through proper roleplay. Avoid using external sources to gain advantages.
Powergaming
Powergaming refers to forcing actions or outcomes in ways that ignore the contributions or agency of other players, focusing instead on unfair advantages.
Examples of Powergaming
Unrealistic Actions
Healing instantly from injuries or outrunning vehicles without logical roleplay.
Forcing Outcomes
Automatically restraining or incapacitating other players without allowing them a chance to respond.
Meta-Knowledge Usage
Acting on out-of-character information, such as overheard Discord conversations.
Ignoring Roleplay Dynamics
Repeatedly attacking or robbing players without building a logical storyline.
Overpowered Characters
Creating invincible characters or those with unrealistic abilities.
Powergaming undermines collaborative storytelling and is not allowed.
Fear RP
Fear RP ensures characters act realistically when threatened with serious harm.
Key Rules of Fear RP
No Violence to Escape: Do not fight back or resist when under direct threat.
Prioritize Survival: Act to preserve your character's life above all.
No Heroic Actions: Avoid resisting unless a logical opportunity presents itself.
Acknowledge the Threat: React appropriately (e.g., freezing, complying, or begging).
Failing to roleplay fear realistically can result in consequences.
RDM (Random Death Matching)
RDM refers to killing players without a valid in-character reason or proper roleplay buildup.
Examples of RDM
Killing without reason or prior interaction.
Random drive-by shootings or attacks.
Killing over minor disagreements without escalation.
Attacking for OOC reasons, such as personal frustration.
RDM disrupts roleplay and is strictly prohibited.
VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch)
VDM involves using vehicles to harm or kill other players without proper roleplay justification.
Examples of VDM
Running over players without cause.
Using vehicles for gratuitous violence or random collisions.
Engaging in vehicle-only attacks with no narrative or motive.
Deliberate hit-and-runs without roleplay involvement.
VDM disrupts fairness and immersion and will not be tolerated.
Exploiting and Hacking
Exploiting
Using in-game mechanics, glitches, or bugs for unfair advantages, including:
Phasing through walls or objects using emotes.
Glitching vehicles to access restricted areas.
Abusing spawn points or mechanics to avoid consequences.
Duplication of items or money through game bugs.
Hacking
Using third-party programs, mods, or cheats to manipulate gameplay is strictly forbidden and results in permanent bans.
Exploiting and hacking disrupt the server’s integrity and will face strict penalties.
